I usually celebrate my Labour Day weekend canning fruit (peaches mostly), homemade pasta sauce, ketchup and salsa as well as freezing many pounds of seasonal fruits for winter smoothies for my children. Did you do canning with or for your family? I came across this video and thought I would share it with you.

Let me introduce (or re-introduce) you to a lovely hike in our own backyard. Rice Lake is located in North Vancouver and begins from the gates at the end of Lillooet Road in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. The hiking trail is an easy walk or jog, and perfect for just about any season, rain or shine. Here is a great video introduction to this relatively easy hike.
