Welcome to Lions Gate Virtual Views. We are glad that you can escape with us on these weekly virtual journeys!
Please email Melanie with any feedback or suggestions for future program content. Enjoy!
Let’s get the morning started with this blast from the past; Richard Simmons with Sweatin’ to the Oldies, from the 1980s. If you want to know more about Richard Simmons, here is a link to Wikipedia to give you more insight into this fitness guru’s life.
As always, our brain needs a workout as well as our body. You may have tried Wordle (with five letters) but have you tried the six-letter Wordle? Here is a website where you can play an unlimited number of games and come back over and over again.
This past week at Parkgate Community Centre, butternut squash soup was served as the community meal. Given this is the season for squash, I thought that I should share this recipe.
Let’s get some virtual time outside with these wonders of the world:
Have you ever dried flowers in silica gel to preserve them? My mother used to make amazing dried flower arrangements and so I thought that I would share this fall craft project with you. If you are interested, it is super easy to create great (inexpensive) gifts for your family.
Music is so great for our heart and soul. I don’t think that I have shared this music playlist with you. I hope that you enjoy a cup of tea and this music from the past.
Let’s end our day today with the pilot and first episode of the 1977 TV show Fantasy Island.
I hope you had a great day.
Stay safe and I hope you check back in next week - Monday, Oct. 31.
