Saturday, November 5 was Guy Fawkes Day. If you are English you probably know all about this, but if you aren’t, here’s a brief video that will give you a good synopsis.
Now that you learned a little, let’s see how you do on this Guy Fawkes multiple-choice trivia quiz. Good luck.
As you head for lunch, I sometimes like to add a recipe that you might like to try and that fits with our theme for the day. In this case, I found this great video on a 1915 Yorkshire parkin, a gingerbread-like treat that is traditionally eaten on Guy Fawkes Day.
Let’s get some virtual time outside. Here is a good video of Guy Fawkes History Walking Tour. While some of the information may duplicate the information in a previous video, it may be fun for you to stand up, visualize yourself in York, England and walk along with this tour as if you were there in person.
