Welcome to Lions Gate Virtual Views. We are glad that you can escape with us on these weekly virtual journeys!
Please email the Seniors' Hub with any feedback or suggestions for future program content. Enjoy!
Let’s get started with this video of standing exercises for seniors which claims to enhance wellness, mobility and cognitive function. While I can’t personally vouch for these claims, I do think the exercises are excellent.
Now let’s get our brains going with a test of common sense.
And here’s another brain game of tricky riddles. Good luck! I didn’t get all these (although I have never been good with riddles).
Here are some amazing spring salad recipes that you may want to try. They look amazing.
My mom and her five best friends (for over 50 years) have taken a weekend a year to get away and spend time together. While many years they have hiked or biked, this year they cruised down to Seattle (from Vancouver) then on to Victoria and back to Vancouver. While they were in Seattle they went to this amazing place.
Now I can’t help but share two more links to this amazing artist. Here’s Dale Chihuly discovering new techniques:
And the second provides a longer look at Dale’s early days developing his craft. I truly admire a man with vision, humility and the ability to build a team to create such beauty.
Laughter is the best medicine and truly every time I see this comedian she makes me laugh. Maybe you are travelling again or if not you still might enjoy this video of line dancing in an airport bathroom.
Let’s end this session with a lovely playlist of vintage springtime music. While there aren’t lyrics, I think many of you may know these songs already.
I hope you had a great day.
Please send us your feedback. It will help us build a better program for YOU.
Stay safe and I hope you check back in next week - Monday, May 22.
