Welcome to Lions Gate Virtual Views. We are glad that you can escape with us on these weekly virtual journeys!
Please email the Seniors' Hub with any feedback or suggestions for future program content. Enjoy!
Let’s get started with this great whole-body seated chair exercise program. While this instructor is a physiotherapist and I think the program is great, I want to make sure that you know to only do what feels comfortable to you. Don’t rush or push too hard. Also, most importantly, have fun.
Let’s get our brains moving with this video of riddles. These are a little tricky but remember to think outside the box. Good luck!
I am not a big fan of cooking (but I want healthy and easy), and I get bored of the same old things that I eat, so I think this video of easy summer salad recipes is fabulous:
I thought it was time for some inspiration with Hawkins, a 107-year-old athlete, and the diet that keeps her active. Although I don’t eat a lot of meat or processed foods, this has inspired me to cut them.
It is time for our outside time and this time I wanted to combine travel and hiking as some of you may either be getting the urge to travel or just want to imagine being somewhere else. I hope you enjoy these beautiful European vistas. If you have visited some of these places, think back to the memories you created there.
June is graduation season, and I came across Tom Hanks’ commencement speech at Harvard University and thought I would share it with you. While it is obviously focused on what is needed to help resolve the divide in the United States, I think that it is relevant to all countries.
Let’s end the day today with June is Burstin’ Out All Over, the wonderfully choreographed number from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel (1956).
I hope you had a great day today.
Please send us your feedback. It will help us build a better program for YOU.
Stay safe and I hope you check back in next week - Monday, June 12.
