Welcome to Lions Gate Virtual Views. We are glad that you can escape with us on these weekly virtual journeys!
Please email the Seniors' Hub with any feedback or suggestions for future program content. Enjoy!
Let’s get started with this great 20-minute exercise program to get our bodies moving. Remember to only do the exercises you can, and drink plenty of water both during and after the workout.
Moving our brain cells is as important as moving our bodies. Here’s a good video of tricky riddles that will get you thinking. Good luck!
It has been pretty warm recently, so I thought that I’d share these summer pasta salad recipes that you can make ahead in the evening when it is cooler. Put them in the fridge overnight and enjoy one for lunch or a cold dinner. I’m not sure which one I would like best, but I think it would be the Italian pasta salad with artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, basil and parmesan.
I believe that reduce, reuse and recycle is a good practice to get into. I also believe that the more we can do to simplify life is a good idea. I came across this great video with creative things to do with empty toilet paper rolls.
I would like to combine our virtual time in nature with a travel theme with this gorgeous video of the most beautiful gardens in the world.
Last week, Tony Bennett died at the age of 96. I wanted to feature this beautiful tribute to his career from the Kennedy Centre in 2005.
Here is I Left My Heart in San Francisco, one of Tony Bennett’s classics, that you can sing along to.
I hope you had a great day today.
Please send us your feedback. It will help us build a better program for YOU.
Stay safe and I hope you check back in next week - Monday, July 31.
