Lions Gate Virtual Views, August 15, 2022

Welcome to Lions Gate Virtual Views. We are glad that you can escape with us on these weekly virtual journeys!

Please email Melanie with any feedback or suggestions for future program content. Enjoy!

Let’s get the day started with this 30-minute seated exercise program to disco music. Remember to drink lots of water and only do what is comfortable.

A trivia quiz is always a great way to get our brain cells firing and learn something new. Here is a new general knowledge quiz for you.

Did you ever make pastry? Who taught you? If you would like to see a traditional recipe, here is a great video. Although this looks like a lot of work, I think I might give it a try.

Now, let’s get some time outside. We are very lucky to live in an amazing part of the world with some of the best walking paths in the world. Let’s enjoy this walk through Deep Cove’s Panorama Park.

Music is such an important part of our health/mental health. I love musical theatre and in fact was part of a choir called Burstin with Broadway that sang all Broadway musical numbers. I thought that I would share this video where you can sing along to those that you know. This may even prompt you to look up a few musicals online.

Let’s end the day with this Gregory Peck movie, The Million Pound Notes, from 1954.

I hope that you had a good day.

Please send us your feedback. It will help us build a better program for YOU.

Stay safe and I hope you check back in next week - Monday, Aug. 22.
