Lions Gate Virtual Views - March 23, 2022

Welcome to Lions Gate Virtual Views. We are glad that you can escape with us on these weekly virtual journeys!

Please email Melanie with any feedback or suggestions for future program content. Enjoy!

Let’s get some exercise. Here are the most important exercise for seniors to master:

If that made you hungry, here’s a culinary quiz. You may not know all the answers, but you may know some.

If you want to do some healthy baking, here's a recipe for a no-oven coffee cake. It looks fast, easy and delicious.

Would you like to get inspired to grow some of your own vegetables? Here is an amazing woman who is inspiring her neighbourhood to eat better while enjoying the process of growing their own food.

You may have a wonderful yard, but if you don’t and you still enjoy growing your own vegetables in a small way then this may help you with patio gardening:

Now if you really want to be successful with gardening (and you can’t compost outside), here’s a great video to show you how to compost inside.

Are you an animal lover? Do you like cats, dogs, or both? You may want to watch this video of the Taigon Lion Park where visitors get snuggles from the king of the jungle (lions). I think I’ll take a pass on this one.

As we head into our evening entertainment, perhaps this video of 1960s dance moves will bring up some great memories.

Let’s end our day with a classic. Here is the 1936 musical Anything Goes with Bing Crosby and Ethel Merman.

I hope that you had a good day.

Please send us your feedback. It will help us build a better program for YOU.

Stay safe and I hope you check back in next week - Wednesday, March 30.
