Lions Gate Virtual Views - March 31, 2021
Welcome to Lions Gate Virtual Views. We are glad that you can escape with us on these weekly virtual journeys!
Please email Melanie with any feedback or suggestions for future program content. Enjoy!
Let’s start the morning with some exercise. Feet exercises for seniors are important to help keep you mobile and decrease the risk of falls. This is a great video that you can repeat at least several times a week:
Here is a great new trivia quiz to test your knowledge of 1950s TV shows. If you didn’t watch TV in the ‘50s, not to worry, you will learn something. You can press the pause button if you want more time to think about an answer.
Tomorrow is April 1st, more commonly known as April Fools’ Day. Have you ever had an April Fools’ prank played on you? Did you ever play one on someone else?
Since I believe so strongly in the power of laughter, I thought I would share this video with you. I even think I might try one of these on my (adult) children:
If you want, here is a brief history of April Fools’ Day:
Do you like the flowers that pop up in April? Here’s a song you can sing along to, with Joni James. If you liked that, below are a couple of other spring songs:
Here is Simon and Garfunkel with April Come She Will from 1966:
And here is Connie Francis with April Love from 1961.
I think one of the best parts of spring are the flowers and gardens that start to really come to life. I love the gentle walk through this beautiful garden. Enjoy!
I hope that you have had a great day. I thought I would leave you with some evening entertainment that you may or may not have seen. Here’s the movie Come Next Spring from 1956 featuring Ann Sheridan and Steve Cochran.
I hope that you have enjoyed these videos and activities. Have a lovely evening.
See you next week - Wednesday, April 7.
