My Virtual Lions Gate BREAK - May 17, 2021

I thought before you get some exercise you might like to see what happened on this day in history – from the running of the first Kentucky Derby, to the opening of Wall Street, to the publication of The Wizard of Oz. . .  You will notice that many of these events include links to quizzes about the topic. Feel free to click on each of the links to the quizzes.

Now it’s time to exercise your body. Balance is really important for many reasons but decreasing the risk of falls is one of the best. Here is a great beginner’s video to increase your balance, something you should work on several times a week:

Do you like animals? Here are a few animal encounters that you may find amusing from a distance.

Here are some beautiful North Vancouver flowers in March and April. Look for the May and June flowers in a video coming soon. I hope that you have time to stop and smell, see and enjoy the beautiful flowers of North Vancouver.

Here is a great song to lead into tonight's entertainment, The Flowers That Bloom in the Spring from The Mikado.

Enjoy this lovely 1966 production by the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company of The Mikado. I love this Gilbert and Sullivan production, and in fact, performed in it in high school. I hope you enjoy it and your evening!

Stay healthy and I hope you come back next week for more.

Please send me your feedback. It will help me build a better program for YOU.
