My Virtual Lions Gate BREAK - January 10, 2022

Let’s start the day with some light exercise. This is one of my favourite easy exercise programs.

Now let's get those brain cells moving with this game that is kind of like Pictionary. Put the pictures together to guess the food. (If you want more time to try to figure out the answer, just press pause.)

Even though there’s lots of snow and ice right now, it is so beautiful, and getting time outside is always a good idea. Here is a great little video with a few quick tips on safely walking in the winter.

For our walk outside, I would like you to stand up, walk in place, and pretend that you are hiking the Capilano Pacific Trail in North Vancouver.

Humour is an important part of maintaining our health/mental health. Here are favourite scenes from The Golden Girls:

Music Is a wonderful way to end your evening. Here is the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s music director Bramwell Tovey as conductor and narrator in this delightfully entertaining performance of Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, from March 2020. I remember listening to a recording of this as a child, and I love it.

I hope you enjoyed the day. Stay healthy and I hope you come back next week for more.

Please send me your feedback. It will help me build a better program for YOU.

See you next week - Monday, Jan. 17.
