My Virtual Lions Gate BREAK
My Virtual Lions Gate BREAK - December 14, 2020
Let’s get started. My LionsGate BREAK members are part of a special club. Here is a song to get us started:
Let’s get some exercise. Here’s a 20-minute exercise video that you can do either seated or standing:
Let’s move into the holiday spirit with today’s lunch topic of conversation: “Do you have a holiday tradition?” This may lead to some wonderful stories from when you were younger. I would love to hear your holiday traditions. If you want to share your experience, please email me.
Have you had some time outside today? Have you ever ridden in a horse-drawn sleigh? This is a lovely video of an antique sleigh rally:
If you live in British Columbia, you may have heard of the Iditarod which is an annual dog sled race that starts in Alaska. Here is the official start of the 2020 Iditarod, held in March. (If you would like to read more about the history of the Iditarod then go here.)
We’ve got a Christmas movie later, but first, here’s a list of vintage Christmas music (which is not overplayed). Sing along, and next week we will go to the more traditional carols.
Do you like Christmas movies? Although this isn’t the most uplifting Christmas movie, it's a classic. Here’s the 1970 version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, starring Albert Finney:
If you would rather something lighter, here is the preview of Elf with Will Ferrell. (If you would like to watch the full version you will have to either buy or rent the full movie.)
I hope you had a great day.
See you next week - Monday, Dec. 21.
